Dave brings extensive experience in logistics, track and site design to Hanson’s industrial, port and rail clients.

Since joining the company in 2017, Dave has led projects from initial concept to permitting, final design and construction completion. His background includes serving as a senior project manager for roadway, rail and municipal infrastructure projects, along with performing construction observation and survey on multimillion-dollar heavy civil efforts. He leads technical teams in designing rail facilities, laydown yards, grading and drainage infrastructure, developing cost-effective engineering designs that meet client operational goals.

Dave’s port-related experience includes:

• logistics and product movement analysis
• land-side concept development
• coordinating permitting activities
• completing rail, grading, and drainage design
• integrating unloading and product transfer operations into site design
• industrial rail yard planning and development throughout the U.S. and Canada
• industrial rail design ranging from single sidings to multi-thousand car storage yards

Dave’s projects of note have included the Paducah McCraken Port District Riverport West Development in Kentucky; the Caterpillar large engine facility track relocation in West Layfette, Indiana; a petrochemical company rail yard feed in Canada; and multiple rail projects along the Texas Gulf Coast. Dave draws on his combined design and construction experience to apply workable designs and solutions to each project.
