Craig Thompson, P.E., serves as the civil sitework discipline manager at Hanson, where he leads the technical and production staff for civil sitework.
Craig joined Hanson in 2016, following the firm’s acquisition of Naismith Engineering Inc., bringing extensive experience in site development, utilities, stormwater management, transportation and municipal engineering. He has played a pivotal role in guiding public and private clients through high-impact projects, from transforming a one-page mission statement into a county’s integrated stormwater master plan to developing land plans for a 500-acre master-planned community and designing dune protection mitigation strategies. His technical proficiency spans site and subdivision development, water and wastewater system analysis and design, pavement analysis and stormwater hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. During his career, he has successfully designed and coordinated complex infrastructure, residential, commercial and institutional projects throughout Corpus Christi, Texas, and the surrounding region.
In recognition of his contributions to the field, Craig was named the Distinguished Engineer of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Corpus Christi Branch in 2024. In addition to being an active member of ASCE, he is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
