Cindy, a vice president and senior project manager, leads a team of engineers, scientists and support staff at Hanson’s Peoria, Illinois office, while directing the office’s operations, programs and services.
Since joining Hanson in 1997, Cindy has specialized in transportation and site development projects. Her experience includes designing urban and rural roadways, including Complete Streets concepts; drainage; pedestrian accommodations and bike paths and parking lots; along with preparing plans, specifications, proposals and cost estimates.

Cindy has served as a project manager or principal for many high-profile Illinois projects, including the Warehouse District revitalization, Washington Street improvements and the new westbound span of the McClugage Bridge, all in Peoria; two overpasses and an underpass for BNSF Railway Co. in Galesburg; and the Multimodal Corridor Enhancement (MCORE) study and design project in Champaign and Urbana.
Cindy is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Central Illinois Section, which honored her with its Civil Engineer of the Year Award in 2016. She is also a member of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs/Transportation Committee. Her past leadership roles include serving as chairperson of the Peoria CEO Council Board of Directors, president of the Women’s Transportation Seminar, a member of the Princeville Community Unit School District #326 Board of Education and a member of Bradley University’s College of Engineering and Technology Executive Advisory Council.
Throughout her career, Cindy has been recognized for her professional excellence and community leadership. Her honors include the 2007 40 Leaders Under Forty Award from InterBusiness Issues; the 2011 25 Women in Leadership Award presented by WEEK TV, Marketeer Magazine and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce; the 2011 Community Service Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois (ACEC-IL); the 2012 Outstanding Engineer Award from the Society of Women Engineers’ Central Illinois Section; and the Princeville Pride Award for her contributions to Princeville Schools and the local community.
