Wood joins Hanson as structural designer
Jacob Wood, structural designer, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc. Working from Chicago, he will conduct structural analysis and design for bridge components and help prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates. He also will perform load ratings, structural modeling and design checks for bridge structures, as well as support field inspections and documentation.
Wood received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for four years as an airborne mission systems specialist aboard an airborne warning and control system aircraft.
