Hanson on Crain’s Chicago Business list of engineering firms for first time
Hanson Professional Services Inc. recently was ranked for the first time on the “Largest Engineering Firms in the Chicago Area” list from Crain’s Chicago Business.
Hanson placed 20th on this year’s list, which ranks engineering firms based on how many licensed professional engineers they have locally.
Crain’s Chicago Business is a weekly publication in Chicago with more than 35,000 subscribers and over 1.8 million page views on its website each month. This year, Hanson also ranked 35th on Engineering News-Record’s Midwest Top Design Firms and has been listed on that magazine’s Top 500 Design Firms since 1978, ranking 182nd in 2025. Hanson also placed third in the medium-employer category on the “Best Places to Work in Illinois” list and sixth in the large-employer category on the “Best Companies to Work for in Florida” list this year.
