Cafaro becomes LEED AP® O+M
AUSTIN, Texas — Gianna Cafaro, LEED AP® O+M, a commissioning and energy specialist at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Austin office, became a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design AP with an Operations + Maintenance (LEED AP O+M) specialty through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
According to USGBC, the LEED AP O+M credential demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of green building principles and practices needed to support the use of the LEED® rating system, and it is intended for professionals who use sustainable methods through enhanced operations and maintenance for buildings to improve performance and energy efficiency as well as reduce environmental impact.
Cafaro, who joined Hanson in 2025 as an intern before becoming a full-time employee this year, supports building commissioning, sustainability and energy projects. She received a bachelor’s degree in sustainability and the built environment from the University of Florida.
