Bushur celebrates 25 years with Hanson

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Jeff Bushur, environmental assessment discipline manager, recently celebrated 25 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.

Bushur joined Hanson in 2000. He is a technical specialist and discipline lead for the preparation of environmental assessments and other National Environmental Policy Act documents for highway feasibility and location studies. Additionally, he conducts water quality analyses, habitat assessments, wetland delineations, environmental permitting and mitigation design, primarily for transportation projects.

He has provided services for projects including the Springfield Rail Improvements Project, Capitol Avenue streetscape, Stanford Avenue extension and Interstate 55 reconstruction study, all in Springfield; Macon County Beltway in Macon County; eastbound McClugage Bridge replacement and Washington Street revitalization in Peoria; and the widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Boone, Kane and McHenry counties.

He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental biology in 1991 and 1993, respectively, from Eastern Illinois University. He is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois and the Illinois GIS Association.
