Company history

In 1954, Walter E. Hanson founded the company in Springfield, Illinois, and our name has changed throughout the years. Past firm names include W.E. Hanson and Associates (1954–56); Hanson, Collins and Rice (1956–61); Walter E. Hanson and Co. (1961–72); Hanson Engineers Inc. (1972–2001) and Hanson Professional Services Inc. (2001–present).
