As an assistant vice president and a senior project manager at Hanson, Andrew Canopy, P.E., PLS, PSM, has been guiding private and public clients through multidisciplined projects since 2008. His expertise spans a wide range of infrastructure and development initiatives, including transmission lines and substations, road and bridge improvements, site and land developments, water distribution, stormwater management, land acquisition, commercial and industrial buildings, residential and commercial subdivisions and large boundary surveys.

An active leader in the industry, Andy is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Additionally, he is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois and the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association.

Dedicated to the next generation of engineers and surveyors, Andy actively participates in student events, including Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Surveying and Geomatics Advisory Board and land surveying open house.

Andy earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree in civil engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from Bradley University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Vermont, professional land surveyor in Illinois and professional surveyor and mapper in Florida.
