Bradford, Polematidis honored by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine
Burns Bradford, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, a project manager at Hanson Professional Services Inc., and Amanda Polematidis, P.E., CxA, LEED AP® BD+C, an associate project manager at the firm, are recipients of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine’s 2025 40 Under 40 award.
In its 18th year, the award recognizes 40 engineering and building professionals age 40 and younger for their dedication to their professions and communities. Profiles of the winners are in the magazine’s May issue and online, and awards will be presented in October at a ceremony in Houston.
Bradford joined Hanson’s Orlando, Florida, regional office in 2022 and manages projects for a wide range of healthcare, education and government clients. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Central Florida. He is a licensed professional engineer in Florida and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professional with a Building Design + Construction (LEED® AP BD+C) specialty through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), of which he is a member. He also is a member of ASHRAE, a mentor in the Horizon Scholars Program through Valencia College and a graduate of Leadership Orlando Class 106.
Polematidis, who joined Hanson in 2023 and works at the Jacksonville, Florida, office, manages the full project life cycle, collaborating with technical staff and clients to deliver energy optimization, decarbonization, innovation and adaptation strategies for the built environment. She received a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in middle school science education from the University of Central Florida. She is a licensed professional engineer in Florida, a Certified Commissioning Authority and a LEED accredited professional with a Building Design + Construction specialty. She serves the USGBC Florida Market Leadership Advisory Board and the USGBC Energy and Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group, was a member of the 2022 class of Leadership Jacksonville and was named to the Jacksonville Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list in 2023. She is a board member for the ACE Mentor Program of Northeast Florida, which connects high school students with architecture, construction and engineering professionals.
