When AdventHealth expanded its hospital network to Lake Nona, Florida, Hanson provided commissioning services for the hospital’s integral chiller plant, boiler plant and generator system.
The 10-story, 510,392-square-foot, 80-bed facility, described as a “hospital of the future,” was designed with the potential to expand to 320 rooms. The hospital will feature a surgical suite focused on incisionless procedures and focused-energy treatments.
Hanson’s commissioning scope encompasses the heating, ventilating and air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical, lighting controls and other systems. Commissioning services cover planning and scheduling, construction, acceptance and occupancy and post-occupancy phases.
