AdventHealth chose Hanson to provide design, construction and post-occupancy-phase commissioning services for a new 172,867-square-foot patient tower and 4,770-square-foot generator building at its Celebrate Health campus in Celebration, Florida.
Hanson performed commissioning for the facilities’ mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems; building automation system; and emergency electrical power generation and transfer switch systems. The tower, central energy plant and generator plant were phased to be turned over at different intervals.
Hanson also conducted retro-commissioning for existing systems that were integrated with the new equipment, including four chillers, 10 pumps, four cooling towers, two steam boilers, nine exhaust fans, eight fan coil units, two air-handling units, make-up water connections to circulating water systems, chilled water and heated water; normal and emergency switchgear; and six generator sets.

Hanson has also been performing commissioning for the design, construction, occupancy and post-occupancy phases of AdventHealth’s bed tower expansion at its facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. The team from Hanson is commissioning the HVAC, plumbing and lighting controls systems for all phases. (Expected completion 2027)
