Hanson has completed the acquisition of Amherst Consulting Co. LLC, a full-service engineering consulting firm in Maitland, Florida. Amherst specializes in aviation planning, programming, design and construction services.
“By adding Amherst, we can expand our design, construction-phase services and innovative project delivery capabilities for aviation clients in and beyond Florida,” said Sergio “Satch” Pecori, P.E., Hanson’s chairman and CEO. The acquisition, which was effective March 16, is part of Hanson’s strategic expansion in Florida.
“This is a very important day for our aviation market and particularly for our brand and project capabilities in Florida. We warmly welcome the Amherst group to the Hanson team,” said Chip Snowden, AAE, a senior vice president and the aviation market principal at Hanson.
“We’re happy to become part of Hanson and excited about what this venture brings to our collective client base,” said Todd Zimmerman, P.E., owner and founder of Amherst, which was established in 2002. Zimmerman will be the vice president of innovative project delivery for Hanson’s aviation market.
