Arcadia Municipal Airport
Project Summary
The city of Arcadia, Fla., selected Hanson in 2011 as the consultant for aviation engineering, planning and construction at Arcadia Municipal Airport, a general aviation airport in central Florida. Under a five-year contract, Hanson has provided services for engineering and planning projects including design and construction management for a security fence and gate, the rejuvenation and marking of a runway and scope development for a master plan.
Hanson also has provided design, bidding and construction services for the replacement of the airport’s electrical vault and lights for the runway and taxiway. In 2020, the Florida Department of Transportation's Aviation Office named Arcadia its General Aviation Airport of the Year.
