Broward College student affairs complex renovations

Project Summary

Hanson completed the design for multiple building renovations at Broward College's central campus. The renovations, part of a new student affairs complex, integrated two existing buildings and a proposed addition into an inviting environment for students, faculty and staff, enabling the college to provide students with accessible, efficient services.

Among the areas renovated were a 40,000-square-foot bookstore and cafeteria and a new 23,000-square-foot Student Services Center.

The Student Services Center conveniently centralizes many departments, including adolescent services, a bookstore, bursar counseling and advisement, disability services, financial aid, food service and dining, hospitality vocational programs, a 1,000-square-foot kitchen, nurse's station, registration, security services, student life activities and offices, and student resources. The center also includes two video-conferencing rooms and a conference room with moveable partitions, to suit the size of the room to the size of the conference.
