Cooper marks 15 years at Hanson’s Rockford office
ROCKFORD, Ill. — Christian Cooper, P.E., CPESC, civil engineer, recently celebrated 15 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Rockford, Ill., regional office.
Cooper joined Hanson in 1998 and serves the firm’s infrastructure market. He has more than 25 years of engineering experience working as a project manager, project engineer and task manager. At Hanson, he is involved in land development; airport improvements; roadway, railway, water-supply and water-treatment projects; bridge reconstruction and field inspections.
Cooper earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1982 and a master’s degree in civil engineering in 1984 from Michigan State University. He also earned a graduate certificate in project management in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and New York and earned his Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) in 1997. He received the 2008 Distinguished Service Award and 2012 Member of the Year honor from the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers’ Rockford, Ill., chapter, for which he is a chapter representative at the state level. He also is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association, International Erosion Control Association and National Society of Professional Engineers.
