Bushur marks 15 years at Hanson’s headquarters

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Jeff Bushur, environmental scientist, recently celebrated 15 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters.

Bushur joined Hanson in 2000. He conducts water quality analyses, habitat assessments, wetlands delineations, Section 404 permitting and wetland mitigation design, primarily for transportation projects. Additionally, he is a technical specialist and primary author for the preparation of environmental assessments and other National Environmental Policy Act documents for highway feasibility and location studies.

He has provided services for projects including the Capitol Avenue streetscape and Interstate 55 reconstruction study in Springfield; Macon County beltway in Macon County, Ill.; dual-lane roundabout in Rockford, Ill.; eastbound U.S. 150 (McClugage Bridge) bridge replacement and Washington Street revitalization in Peoria, Ill.; Raccoon Lake restoration study in Centralia, Ill.; widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Illinois’ Boone, Kane and McHenry counties; and the Chicago Regional Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program.

He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental biology in 1991 and 1993, respectively, from Eastern Illinois University. He is a member of the Illinois Geographic Information Systems Association, Illinois Lakes Management Association and the Water Environment Federation.
