Painter marks 10 years at Hanson’s Peoria office

PEORIA, Ill. — Travis Painter, P.E., S.E., a civil and structural engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Peoria office, recently celebrated 10 years of service with the firm.

Painter joined the company in 2007 and has provided design services, primarily for rail projects, including Union Pacific Railroad’s Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program; Alaska Railroad Corp.’s Port MacKenzie rail extension in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, and northern extension, which includes the Tanana River Bridge in Salcha, Alaska; and the Springfield Rail Improvements Project Tier 2 environmental impact statement in Springfield.

Painter received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering in 2004 and 2006 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed professional and structural engineer in Illinois and Washington and a member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
