Wozniak marks five years at Hanson’s headquarters

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Brian Wozniak, P.E., CFM, water resources engineer, recently celebrated five years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters.

Wozniak joined Hanson in 2010 and has more than 24 years of water resources experience. He has delivered water resources engineering, design and project management services for a wide range of projects throughout the country and internationally in Panama.  Recent projects include flood reduction plans in Kokomo, Ind.; dam breach analyses and emergency action planning for Lake Springfield, Lake Bloomington and Evergreen Lake; and water quality preservation, stream stabilization and fish passage designs in Washington. His qualifications include dam analysis and design for flood control and water supply, watershed planning for urban growth, modeling of major river systems for design of complex hydraulic structures, stream restoration and water quality enhancement.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1991 from The Ohio State University and a Master in Business Administration in 1997 from the University of Illinois Springfield. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Colorado, a certified floodplain manager and is National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System qualified. He is a member of the Colorado Association of Stormwater and Floodplain Managers, Illinois Association for Floodplain and Stormwater Management, Florida Stormwater Association, Association of State Dam Safety Officials and the Association of State Floodplain Managers.
