Breitbach marks 15 years at Hanson’s Peoria office

PEORIA, Ill. — Mike Breitbach, P.E., a transportation engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Peoria office, recently celebrated 15 years of service with the firm.

Breitbach joined the company in 2002. He has provided design services for projects, including the Interstate 74 reconstruction, redevelopment of the Warehouse District’s street network and civil planning and construction of OSF Center for Health, all in Peoria; and the Tri-State Tollway’s roadway and bridge widening in Cook County. He also has been project manager for the south-entrance bridge at Allerton Park and Retreat Center near Monticello and overpasses and an underpass for BNSF Railway Co. in Galesburg — the underpass will be constructed this year.

Breitbach received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1992 from Iowa State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois. He received the Envision Sustainability Professional designation from the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) — the first Hanson employee to be certified by the ISI.
