Stricker becomes full-time editor at Hanson
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — June Stricker, a special consultant for Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s marketing communications department, recently became a full-time employee.
Stricker, who joined Hanson in 2012, serves as an editor for the employee-owned company. She works on Hanson’s communications activities, including media and public relations, advertising, award entries, client and employee communications, presentations and special events. She also assists with photography, graphic design and public-involvement activities.
Before joining Hanson, Stricker was a designer and copy editor for The State Journal-Register in Springfield and The Journal-Standard in Freeport, Ill. She received an honorable mention in the headline writing category from the Illinois Press Association in 2006.
Stricker has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Bradley University. She is a member of the Association for Women in Communications’ Springfield Area Chapter.
