Stake joins Hanson’s Kansas City metropolitan office

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Austin Stake, railroad designer, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Kansas City metropolitan office. His responsibilities include intermodal track design, feasibility studies and quality assurance and quality control.

Stake previously was an intern at Hanson’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters, where he assisted with surveying and report preparation. He also was an intern for Andrews Engineering Inc. in Springfield, where he performed field work testing and construction inspections.

Stake has a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Missouri, where he was president of the chapter of Chi Epsilon — a civil engineering society — and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ student chapter.
