Sponsler becomes full-time Hanson graphic designer
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Ryan Sponsler, part-time graphic designer for Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s marketing communications department, recently became a full-time employee.
Sponsler, who joined Hanson in 2009, designs print materials for the company, including advertisements, the employee newsletter, proposals, presentations and award entries. He also is a photographer for the department, coordinating with photographers around the United States, and helps organize the annual company meeting.
Prior to working at Hanson, Sponsler was a graphic designer for The State Journal-Register in Springfield. He has an associate degree in graphic design from Southern Illinois University and a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from University of Illinois Springfield. As part of Hanson’s marketing team, he received a Communicator Award of Excellence from the International Academy of the Visual Arts for marketing/promotion – greeting/holiday card in 2011. He also took second place in the category for best full-color advertisement from the Illinois Press Association in 2008 and has received various art awards.
