Sobol joins Hanson as project and business development lead
MAITLAND, Fla. — Justin Sobol, EIT, PMP, project and business development lead, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Orlando regional office. He will be responsible for developing business opportunities in the southeastern U.S., particularly in Florida, primarily for the firm’s power and industry market.
Before joining Hanson, Sobol was a business development manager for Abengoa in St. Louis and for Florida Power & Light Co. (FPL) in Juno Beach. Notable projects he led the development of include FPL’s Port Everglades Power Plant modernization, which involved replacing the oil-burning plant with a 1,300-megawatt, natural gas combined-cycle plant; and multiple solar photovoltaic facilities totaling more than 35 megawatts of generation.
He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in ocean engineering from Florida Atlantic University. He is a certified project management professional (PMP).
