Slager joins Hanson Professional Services Inc.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Matt Slager, P.E., LEED® AP, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc., serving in the company’s Department of Defense market. As a mechanical engineer, he currently is assisting with a study on the Illinois National Guard’s State Headquarters Building to determine an economical method for installing geothermal heating and cooling systems.

Slager has 5 years of experience providing mechanical engineering design for higher education, sports, commercial, health care, laboratory and government facilities including multiple LEED® projects. He also has energy modeling experience including HVAC system comparisons, life cycle cost analysis, sensitivity analysis, and modeling for ASHRAE standards and LEED®-certifiable projects. His specialization also includes indoor air quality and the application of ASHRAE-related standards. 

Slager has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also is a current member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
