Riggins joins Naismith/Hanson’s office in Brownsville, Texas
BROWNSVILLE, Texas — Richard Riggins, P.E., RPLS, civil engineer and surveyor, recently joined Naismith/Hanson’s Brownsville office. He will be responsible for the design and management of public works, utility, drainage and land development projects.
Riggins brings 39 years of experience in civil engineering and surveying to the company, having worked for several firms in Brownsville and a general contractor in Harlingen. In 2012, he started his company, R.A. Riggins Enterprises Inc. He is a Vietnam veteran, with two years of active duty with the U.S. Navy Reserve.
He received bachelor’s degrees in zoology and in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a licensed professional engineer and a registered professional land surveyor in Texas, member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and past president of the Rotary Club of Historic Brownsville.
