Reed celebrates 15 years of service at Hanson
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Craig Reed, CADD/BIM administrator, recently celebrated 15 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Springfield, Ill., office.
Reed joined the company in 1999 and serves in Hanson’s computer services department, providing support for Autodesk products companywide. He provides computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) services, develops CADD standards, implements software training and provides building information modeling (BIM) and management, renderings, animation and video production for Hanson’s projects. He also reviews product and training materials for industry magazines and tests software for developers.
During his career at Hanson, Reed has been involved with various projects, including the interior of Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport’s terminal in Springfield, Ill.; the University of Illinois Springfield’s University Hall; Lincoln Land Community College’s Millennium Center in Springfield; the addition of a new wellness center at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.; renderings and animation for a national Spectra-Site Broadcast Group digital television broadcast facility and expansion of AT&T’s central office in Reno, Nev.
Reed has an associate degree in civil and environmental engineering technology and an associate degree in architectural and construction drafting technology from Lincoln Land Community College. He currently is working toward his bachelor’s degree in construction management.
