Hanson’s Painter earns structural engineer license

PEORIA, Ill. — Travis Painter, P.E., S.E., a civil and structural engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc., recently earned his structural engineer license in Illinois. He serves Hanson’s railway market in the company’s Peoria, Ill., office.

Painter joined Hanson in 2007. He has assisted with a variety of railway projects, including Union Pacific Railroad’s Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program; Alaska Railroad Corp.’s Port MacKenzie rail line extension in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska, and rail extension in Fairbanks, Alaska; and the Springfield Rail Improvements Project Tier 2 Environmental Impact Statement in Springfield, Ill.

Painter has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA).
