Moll celebrates 35 years with Hanson

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Jim Moll, P.E., S.E., a vice president and project manager at Hanson Professional Services Inc., recently celebrated 35 years of service at the firm’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters.

Moll joined Hanson in 1980 and has worked on a variety of civil engineering projects, including the Lincoln Home restoration, the MacArthur Boulevard extension and an environmental impact statement and corridor study for the Springfield Rail Improvements Project, all in Springfield. He has extensive experience in public involvement initiatives, working as a liaison between design teams and the public.

In 2013, Moll received the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers’ (ISPE) Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award and was elected to serve as Ward II alderman for the village of Leland Grove, Ill., until 2017.

He has served as a director of the American Public Works Association’s Illinois chapter and as state chairman for ISPE’s Private Practice Division and Political Action Committee. He also has been involved in the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Moll has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Purdue University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado, Iowa and Illinois and a licensed structural engineer in Illinois.
