Kireyev joins Hanson’s new Tallahassee, Fla., office
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Sergey Kireyev, senior planner, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s new Tallahassee, Fla., office. He will work with Hanson’s Vice President Jeff Bowen, P.E., Government Market Principal Bill Bradford, P.E., and Senior Aviation Planner Lisa Waters to grow and promote Hanson’s services in the Florida Panhandle and throughout Florida.
Before joining Hanson, Kireyev was an Airspace and Land Use Manager since 2007 for the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Aviation and Spaceports Office. Prior to working at FDOT, he was a senior planner for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (FDEO). In his role at FDOT, he managed the statewide airspace obstruction permitting and airport protection zoning programs; provided technical assistance to airports and local governments on matters of airport land use compatibility; and managed the department’s efforts aimed at revising the “Florida Airport Compatible Land Use Guidebook,” amending Florida Statute Chapter 333: Airport Zoning and rewriting the state airport licensing criteria. At FDEO, he reviewed and approved comprehensive plan amendments and Development of Regional Impact documents for governments in Florida’s northeast and central regions.
Kireyev has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mars Hill College and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Hanson was named on the “Best Companies to Work for in Florida” list by Florida Trend magazine in 2013, ranking 29th in the large-company category.
