Kemp celebrates 25 years of service at Hanson

ROCKFORD, Ill. — Stuart Kemp, P.E., S.E., regional vice president, recently celebrated 25 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Rockford, Ill., regional office.

Kemp joined the company in 1988 and serves the firm’s infrastructure market. He was a design engineer and a project manager on a variety of civil-engineering projects including bridges, railways and roadways. He performed structural investigations, structural design and rehabilitation, construction administration and bridge inspections. He was named a regional vice president in 2005, and his responsibilities include staff supervision and overseeing operations, programs and services at the Rockford office. 

Kemp earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1983 and a master’s degree in civil engineering in 1985 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Wisconsin and a licensed structural engineer in Illinois. He is a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials, Illinois Society of Professional Engineers – for which he was chapter president from 1995 to 1996 – and National Society of Professional Engineers.
