Hudson celebrates 20 years with Hanson’s Chicago regional office

OAK BROOK, Ill. — Ronald Hudson, AICP, a project manager at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Chicago regional office, recently celebrated 20 years of service with the firm.

Hudson became involved in airport and air base development in 1978 and has worked at more than 60 airports in 17 states and three countries on projects that included an award-winning, comprehensive air base design for the U.S. Air Force in Europe. Since joining Hanson in 1996, he has completed hundreds of airport planning, design, construction and land acquisition projects for airports in the Chicago area, including a public-private partnership that facilitated a new 6,500-foot runway using a coal-ash residue reuse process and a design-build guaranteed maximum price project for a new terminal building and hangar space, both at Lewis University Airport; the runway complex replacement at Bolingbrook’s Clow International Airport; and planning and programming for a runway-highway grade separation at Waukegan National Airport.

Hudson earned a bachelor’s degree in aviation management in 1976 from Auburn University. He is certified by and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He also is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives, American Planning Association and Illinois Public Airports Association.
