Haughn earns Green Globes Professional certification

ORLANDO, Fla. — Danny Haughn, CBCP, GGP, a commissioning specialist at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Orlando, Fla., office, recently earned a Green Globes Professional (GGP) certification from the Green Building Initiative™ (GBI).

GBI is a nonprofit organization that promotes credible and practical green building approaches for commercial construction, with the goal of increasing the adoption of practices for energy-efficient, environmentally sustainable buildings. Certified GGPs are industry professionals trained in the Green Globes building assessment and certification process.

Haughn joined Hanson in 1997 and specializes in providing commissioning services for buildings and installations, data centers and research facilities. He also has designed communications, electrical, lighting and power systems for commercial, educational, health-care, industrial and military facilities.

Haughn received an associate degree from Valencia College in Orlando and a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology from Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Fla. He is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Stetson University in DeLand, Fla. He also is a certified building commissioning professional through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate. He is a member of the Building Commissioning Association and AEE.
