Gibbs joins Hanson Professional Services Inc.
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Shawn Gibbs recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc. as an environmental specialist in the company’s Springfield, Ill., headquarters. She primarily serves Hanson’s aviation clients.
Her experience includes serving as a field technician for various waterway studies. As an environmental specialist, Gibbs works with Hanson’s aviation clients who must adhere to environmental compliance and permitting requirements before constructing airport improvements. Her responsibilities include preparing environmental assessments and permit applications as well as conducting aquatic habitat and wildlife assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys, wetland delineations and mitigation monitoring.
Gibbs earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Millikin University and her master’s degree in biology from the University of Illinois Springfield.
