Dayton Daily News interviews Conlan for article about schools’ HVAC upgrades

Wade Conlan, P.E., CxA, BCxP, LEED AP® BD+C, Hanson’s commissioning and energy discipline manager, is featured in an article by the Dayton Daily News about schools using federal COVID-19 relief funding to upgrade ventilation systems.

Ohio school districts plan to use about $500 million to improve heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems (HVAC) in their buildings to help reduce the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. Wade said the first step is to assess the building’s HVAC system, followed by using better filters.

The Dayton newspaper interviewed Wade and William Bahnfleth, chair of ASHRAE’s Epidemic Task Force, for the Feb. 27 article, “Dayton-Area Schools Invest Millions of Federal COVID Relief Dollars in Ventilation.” Wade, who works at Hanson’s Orlando, Florida, regional office, is a voting member of the task force and is its Building Readiness Team lead.
