Conlan represents ASHRAE during MOU signing for building industry organizations

Wade Conlan, P.E., CxA, BCxP, LEED AP® BD+C, Hanson’s commissioning and energy discipline manager, represented ASHRAE as director-at-large when he and the presidents of the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC), the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) and the Energy Management Association (EMA) signed a memorandum of understanding between the organizations.

The three-year agreement sets the ways in which the organizations will work together to promote their mutual interests, which focus on a more sustainable built environment, and to benefit their members.

Wade was joined by AABC’s President Mike Kelly, TBE, CxA, ACG President Troy Byers, P.E., TBE, CxA, and EMA President Chris Smith, CxA, EMP, for the Sept. 30 signing ceremony during the AABC Annual Meeting in Destin, Florida.

Wade, who was named a director-at-large for ASHRAE on July 1, 2020, is the chair of the organization’s Guideline 1.6P Subcommittee: Commissioning for Data Centers. He also is a voting member of its Epidemic Task Force and its Building Readiness Team lead; Standing Standard Project Committee 300: Commissioning and its Guideline 1.1 Subcommittee: HVAC&R Technical Requirements for the Commissioning Process; and technical committees 9.10: Laboratory Systems and 7.9: Building Commissioning. He serves on the ASHRAE Central Florida Chapter’s board of governors.
