School additions feature geothermal variable refrigerant flow HVAC systems

The Glenwood Elementary School building additions are being constructed with ultra-efficient geothermal variable refrigerant flow HVAC systems. The project, scheduled for completion this summer, provides the school district with a cost-effective heating and cooling system that is anticipated to save more than 45 percent in energy expenditures compared with traditional systems. Hanson provided MEP/FP and structural engineering services. Additional details on the system can be found here.
