Hanson’s study estimates $82K in energy savings for Zora Neale Hurston Building

Hanson provided retro-commissioning services on the Zora Neale Hurston Building for the Florida Department of Management Services in Orlando, Fla.   The study covered 470,289 square feet and included recommendations for specific energy-efficiency improvements for the primary building energy systems along with a financial analysis of the recommendations, including estimated implementation costs and projected savings estimates. A mix of low-cost measures and small capital improvements reflected savings of approximately $82,000 per year with a payback slightly less than 1.5 years.
