Hanson to evaluate energy use at University of Central Florida

The University of Central Florida (UCF) has selected Hanson to conduct energy assessments of education and general facilities on the university’s main campus.

Hanson will use ASHRAE’s building energy labeling program, the Building Energy Quotient (BEQ) tool, to evaluate energy performance at the facilities. Then, the team will generate a baseline and benchmark of energy performance based on the BEQ scores, determine measures to improve energy use at the facilities and develop procedural documents for UCF to use in teaching and conducting future student-led assessments with the BEQ tool.
