Wantman Group Inc. and Hanson are evaluating the possible use of solar power and energy storage for two Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) rest areas.
Wantman and Hanson, as a subconsultant, will assess the feasibility of using solar power and energy storage options at new rest areas on Interstate 75 in Charlotte County, Florida, which is in FDOT’s District 1. FDOT is interested in implementing alternative energy sources at its rest areas across the state.
