Hard Rock’s casino complex with guitar-shaped hotel opens

After $1.5 billion and a multiphase project that lasted more than two years, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, celebrated the opening of its guitar-shaped hotel and property expansion during a two-day celebration Oct. 24 and 25.

The world’s first guitar-shaped hotel stands at 450 feet tall and is surrounded by pools, restaurants, shops, the new 7,000-seat Hard Rock Live entertainment venue and a 140,000-square-foot casino. Hanson commissioned the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building automation systems during the design, construction, acceptance and occupancy stages of this project. The team also is providing a variety of follow-up services. Read more about Hanson’s work on this complex here.
