Conlan chairs upcoming ASHRAE 2020 Winter Conference

Wade Conlan, P.E., CxA, CPMP, LEED AP® BD+C, Hanson’s commissioning discipline manager, is general chair of the host committee for ASHRAE’s 2020 Winter Conference, which will be Feb. 1–5 in Orlando.

Wade is chair of the Feb. 2 “Seminar 3: Keeping up with the Mouse: Orlando International Airport Expansion Commissioning and Energy Management.” Hanson’s Robert Knoedler, P.E., EMP, CxA, a vice president and principal of commissioning and energy-related services, will deliver one of the seminar’s presentations, focusing on the commissioning process for the airport’s expansion. Wade also will participate in the “College of Fellows Debate: Designers Have No Obligation to Make Maintenance and Operations an Important Consideration in Design” discussion Feb 4.

The conference, which draws thousands of professionals in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration industry for educational sessions and networking, will be at Hilton Orlando. 

Wade is a member of ASHRAE and is chair of its Environmental Health Committee; Standards Policy Committee 110: Method of Testing Performance of Laboratory Fume Hoods; and Standing Standard Project Committee 300 Subcommittee, Guideline 1.6P: Commissioning for Data Centers. He is a voting member of technical committees 9.10: Laboratory Systems and 7.9: Building Commissioning. He serves on the ASHRAE Central Florida Chapter’s board of governors.
