Wade and fellow ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force members Dennis Knight, P.E., FASHRAE, DAL, CxA, BEMP, LEED AP® N.C. and O&M, and Sarah Maston, P.E., LEED AP®, presented the free session, “Managing Your HVAC Systems to Help Mitigate the Spread of SARS-CoV-2 in Buildings,” June 29. They discussed ASHRAE’s COVID-19 guidance for reopening buildings, how an HVAC system might respond to a virus like SARS-CoV-2, approaches to reduce virus transmission and developing a building readiness plan.
