Steve Alm, P.E., LEED AP

Steve Alm serves Hanson as a vice president and the federal services principal. He has 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, construction management, design management, contract administration, marketing and business development, as well as public works management, with a focus on business operations and growth. He offers extensive, large-scale project management and funding experience, team-building skills, strategic market development and outstanding communication abilities. As a former Navy Civil Engineer Corps officer, Steve was responsible for a wide array of assignments worldwide, including civil and building projects.

His areas of expertise also include strategic planning and leadership; multisite, multiproject operations; negotiation and communication; problem-solving; sales development; and contract review.

Steve is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)-Minneapolis/St. Paul Post. He is the recipient of the post’s 2011 Regional Vice President’s Medal and was named the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command’s 2000 Federal Engineer of the Year.
