Jim Trachtman

Jim Trachtman joined Hanson in 2011 and serves as a vice president and Indiana business development lead. In this role, he uses his business development and sales experience to help the firm expand business opportunities in the Indianapolis region and provide new connections for client development.

Prior to joining Hanson, Jim directed the operations of regional engineering and architectural services company MS Consultants. He also served as director of marketing and a marketing representative for Schneider Corp. and as an analyst and deputy director of the Indiana Department of Commerce’s Administrative Services Division. His professional duties have included corporate administration, strategic planning, marketing, sales, public relations and governmental relations.

Jim is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies-Indiana Chapter, serving on the Indianapolis Department of Public Works and Diversity Committees. He also is active with the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, Association of Indiana Counties, American Public Works Association-Indiana Chapter and the Indiana Association of County Commissioners.
