David Underbrink, P.E.
David Underbrink is a vice president and senior project manager for Hanson. He has 36 years of experience as a project manager, having completed numerous projects involving land development, site development, transportation, structural and foundation engineering, as well as municipal engineering. During his 32-year tenure with Naismith Engineering in Corpus Christi, Texas, he led marketing efforts that resulted in dozens of residential subdivisions and numerous major road projects. In 2012, he authored the “Dewitt County Road Damage Cost Allocation Study,” a report of projected oil and gas industry traffic and impact findings that was used to secure State of Texas appropriation through SB 1747 for affected counties.
In 2018, David received the Engineer of the Year Award from the Nueces Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE). In 2002, the Texas Engineering Foundation named David the Distinguished Engineer of the Foundation. He has served as a board member for TSPE’s Nueces Chapter and received its Young Engineer of the Year Award in 1989, as well as its President’s Award in 2001. He has served leadership roles with numerous other professional and technical societies.
