Cindy Loos, P.E.
A vice president and senior project manager, Cindy Loos has served as a project principal, manager or engineer for every phase of almost every type of civil engineering project. Her experience includes design of urban and rural highways and roadways, many of which have involved federal, state and local funding, as well as storm sewers, pedestrian accommodations, bike paths and parking lots. She also has conducted site work and site development and prepared plans, specifications, proposals and estimates. She has organized public informational meetings and hearings; made presentations to civil groups and governmental organizations; met with concerned citizens; and acted as a liaison between the public, utility providers and the project design team. Cindy supervises a staff of engineers, scientists and support staff, and she oversees all operations, programs and services for Hanson’s Peoria, Illinois, office.
Cindy has been recognized with the 25 Women in Leadership award, a program sponsored by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, Marketer Magazine and WEEK TV, as well as a Community Service Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois and InterBusiness Issues magazine’s 40 Leaders under Forty. She also received the Civil Engineer of the Year Award in 2016 from ASCE CIS.
