She has worked on numerous track, bridge and telecommunication projects for BNSF Railway Co., including a $130 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act-funded capacity improvement project in Kelso and Kalama, the expansion of the Orillia Auto Yard in Renton and additional bridges to relieve rail traffic congestion in Sandpoint, Idaho, which includes a 4,800-foot-plus bridge over Lake Pend Oreille. She also served as an auditor for six years for the National Precast Concrete Association. Notably, she served as project engineer for the conceptual design through final design of the 32-mile Port MacKenzie rail line extension in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and as engineer-of-record for 15 miles of this project. Since transferring to the Seattle regional office, she has managed and designed projects for BNSF and municipal clients, including yard expansions and intermodal improvements; logistics centers; telecommunications towers; bridges; and siding, double track and realignment projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, Canada. She earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering in 2003 and a master’s degree in agricultural and biological engineering in 2006 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed professional engineer in Washington and Alaska.
