Kamischke marks 10 years at Hanson’s Peoria office
PEORIA, Ill. — Alicia Kamischke, P.E., S.E., structural engineer, recently celebrated 10 years of service at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Peoria office.
Kamischke joined Hanson in 2007. She has assisted with various structural engineering projects, including expansion projects at Buehler Home in Peoria; the Illinois Army National Guard’s Readiness Center and Army Aviation Support Facility in Kankakee; the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Integrated Bio-Processing Research Laboratory; medical office buildings in Pekin, Chicago Ridge and Dyer, Indiana; and the Iowa Army National Guard Muscatine Joint Readiness Center in Muscatine, Iowa. She also has conducted precast-concrete plant inspections nationwide as part of Hanson’s contract with the National Precast Concrete Association.
Kamischke received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2008 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a master’s degree in civil engineering in 2011 from Bradley University. She is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Indiana and a licensed structural engineer in Illinois. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Central Illinois Section and received its Young Civil Engineer of the Year Award in 2016. She also is a volunteer for the development and scoring of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying’s structural engineering exam.
