Maandig celebrates 10 years with Hanson’s Chicago regional office

OAK BROOK, Ill. — Paul Maandig, P.E., structural and civil engineer, recently celebrated 10 years of service with Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Chicago regional office.

Maandig joined Hanson in 2005. Prior to joining Hanson, he was a land development supervisor for a residential contractor in Palos Hills, Ill. At Hanson, he has provided design services, construction management services and quality assurance reviews for railroad and roadway bridge projects, including the widening and reconstruction of a 22-mile section of Interstate 90 (Jane Addams Memorial Tollway) in Illinois’ Boone, Kane and McHenry counties; Chicago Regional Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) program’s Beltway and Western Avenue corridors; Alaska Railroad Corp.’s Port MacKenzie rail line extension in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska; and BNSF Railway Co.’s intermodal facility in Memphis, Tenn. He also has conducted precast-concrete plant inspections nationwide as part of Hanson’s contract with the National Precast Concrete Association.

Maandig earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and environmental engineering in 2002 from the University of Michigan and in 2004 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, respectively. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Missouri.
